The gouge still has part of the original price sticker on it. The tool measures about 12-5\/8\" long overall. The blade has a 30mm flute and is in nice condition with some light rust . The beautiful box wood handle measures approximately 1.5\" in diameter at its largest and is in excellent condition. The handle still features the Marples LOGO , it hasn't been worn off like most heavy gouges of this size. The handle does also have a black dirty spot where I imagine a sticker of some sort had been at one time. The gouge appears to have had very little use with no hammer marks or splits on its end.
